What information wpkayce (“we”) collects when you visit wpkayce.io, ask for support or use our plugins, and what we do with it.
Who we are
wpkayce builds WordPress plugins, themes and custom websites from Khajura Road, Nepalgunj, Nepal. For any privacy question or request, email contact@wpkayce.io.
Information we collect
- Contact and support forms: your name, email address and message. Support requests also include the plugin, its version and your website address if you add one.
- Emails: anything you send us, including emails to our support address.
- Comments: if you comment on a blog post, your name, email address, website, comment and IP address.
- Website statistics: pages viewed, time on page, referring site, and general device and browser details, collected with Burst Statistics.
- Spam protection: our forms use your IP address in a scrambled form to limit repeated submissions. It is kept for about an hour.
- Server logs: our hosting provider may record technical details such as IP addresses to keep the site running and secure.
How we use it
- To answer your questions and provide support
- To reply to project enquiries and carry out work you ask for
- To understand which pages are useful and improve the site and plugins
- To keep the site secure and block spam
- To meet legal, tax and accounting duties
We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t use it for third-party advertising on this site.
Cookies and browser storage
- Statistics: Burst Statistics sets a first-party cookie with an anonymous ID, so returning visitors can be counted. The statistics stay on our own server.
- Announcement bar: if you close the bar at the top of the site, your browser remembers that choice locally.
- Logged-in users and comments: WordPress uses its standard cookies for people who sign in and may remember comment details.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works without the statistics cookie.
Services that handle your information
- Freemius: runs the checkout, payments, licences, invoices and subscriptions for our Pro plugin. We don’t see or store your full card details. See the Freemius privacy policy.
- Our hosting provider: stores this website, form submissions and email, and runs our helpdesk at support.wpkayce.io.
- WordPress.org: hosts our free plugins and their support forums. See the WordPress.org privacy policy.
- YouTube and Facebook: if you follow a link to our channel or page, their own privacy policies apply. The videos on this site are hosted here, not embedded from those services.
Information in our plugins
- Free plugins: Kayce Discount Rules and Kayce Sections don’t send your store’s customer data to us. WordPress checks WordPress.org for plugin updates as usual.
- Kayce Discount Rules Pro: to activate your licence and deliver updates, the included Freemius software shares details such as your site address, licence, admin email and WordPress and plugin versions with Freemius. We can see these details in our Freemius account.
How long we keep it
We keep support conversations, enquiries and purchase records for as long as we need them to help you and to meet legal, tax and accounting duties. Website statistics are kept to compare trends over time. You can ask us to delete your information, and we’ll do so unless we have to keep it.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us for a copy of your information, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing contact@wpkayce.io. Depending on where you live, you may also be able to object to or restrict how we use it, move it to another provider, withdraw consent, or complain to your local data protection authority.
International visitors
We work from Nepal, and the services above may process information in other countries. By contacting us or using these services, your information may be handled outside your own country.
Security
We use encrypted connections and limit access to the information we hold. No website or email system is completely secure, so please don’t send passwords or payment details through our forms or email.
Children
Our site and plugins are made for businesses and aren’t directed at children. If you think a child has sent us personal information, email contact@wpkayce.io and we’ll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update it here and change the date at the top.
