Settings
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Customer buys … and gets … | How many must be bought, and how many are discounted. “Buy 2 and gets 1” means every third item is discounted. |
| Discount on those items | Free, % off (e.g. 50) or Fixed price (e.g. $1.00). |
| Same product | Only units of the same product count together: 3 shirts of one design. |
| Mix and match | Any items the rule covers count together, and the cheapest ones are discounted. |
| Repeat the offer | On: 6 items get 2 free, 9 get 3, and so on. Off: the offer applies once per order. |
| Most discounted items per order | Optional cap when repeating, e.g. at most 3 free items. |
How the discount shows in the cart
A cart line can contain both paid and discounted units, so the line shows the average price per unit. The line total is exact. Example: 3 bags at $24 with buy 2 get 1 free show as $16.00 each, $48.00 total, “Save $24.00”.

Note: The discounted items must be in the cart: a shopper adds 3 to get 1 free. Mention the deal in the product description so shoppers know to add the extra item.
